Religion exhibit opens at Gallery RFD

Gallery RFD’s upcoming exhibition concerning religion and spirituality begins with the following question: How are meaning and morals defined in the modern world? More than 30 artists from all over the United States and Puerto Rico submitted work exploring how different religions, cultures, and peoples answer this question.

The show, juried by Dr. Bruce Little of Georgia Southern University, includes paintings, photographs, sculpture, and installations. The exhibition includes local artists Desmal Purcell, Jack Bazemore, Father Brylinski, and Bridget Conn. The artist’s reception will be held on June 9th in conjunction with the Second Saturday Art Stroll. An artist’s talk with take place at 7 p.m. at the gallery and will be followed at 8 p.m. with live music by Arum Rae on the Boneyard in downtown Swainsboro.
