Gerald Lee Lamb Sr., 71

TWIN CITY—Funeral for Gerald Lee Lamb, Sr., 71, was held Monday, June 25, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Twin City First United Methodist Church with Rev. Randall Smith and Rev. Gordon Dukes officiating. Burial was in Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Garfield. He died Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Emanuel Medical Center after an extended illness.

Mr. Lamb was a native of Emanuel County, a US Army veteran and retired from Hooks Milling Co and Twin City Feed Mill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garvis and Annie Mae Boatright Lamb, son, Allan G. Lamb and grandson, Hunter Lamb. He was a member of the Twin City First United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Peggy Cowart Lamb of Twin City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann L. and Bill Thompson and Belinda L. and Timmy Aldrich of Twin City; a son, Gerald “Buddy” Lamb, Jr. of Shellman’s Bluff; his mother-in-law, Captola Cowart of Twin City; four grandchildren, Cody and Dylan Thompson and Kaci and Lori Aldrich all of Twin City; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Olin Mercer, Charles Stewart, James Brown, Dwain Lee, Jim Williams, Greg Mercer, Donald Hooks, Gerald Hooks, Loren Williamson and Ken Mercer.

Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary had charge of arrangements.
