Tonya Williams recognized for service at Tech

At the April meeting of the Swainsboro Technical College Board of Directors, Tonya Williams was recognized for five years of service. Pam Griner, chairperson of the Board of Directors presented her with a monetary award from the Swainsboro Technical College Foundation.

MAW student recognized by Gov. Perdue

Brittany D. Meeks, a seventh grader from Soperton recently had lunch with Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue. Meeks, 12, won third place in the poster category of the 2007 Manufacturing Appreciation Week (MAW) student design contest. She received a $100 scholarship check, presented by Gov. Perdue at the MAW awards luncheon held at the Cobb Galleria.
