Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Swainsboro will host an open house at its Family History Center Saturday, April 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Theme is “How Do I Start My Family History?” There will be 15-minute spotlights, refreshments and a question and answer period.

Victory Temple

Victory Temple will celebrate its ninth church anniversary through March 30 and April 1. Guest speakers are, Tuesday: Bishop Linda Travett; Wednesday: Pastor Charles Brown; Thursday: Evangelist Lucy Robertson; Friday:

Mt. Olivet

On April 1, a Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Easter Picnic will be held at George L. Smith State Park beginning at 3 p.m.. Following the picnic, games, an egg hunt and a short devotional service will be held. Supper will also be served. Everyone is asked to bring side dishes to go with hot-dogs and hamburgers.

On April 8, Easter services will begin with a sunrise service at 7 a.m. followed by breakfast. Sunday school will begin at 9 a.m. and morning

worship will follow at 10 a.m. There will be NO

evening activities or service.

Greater St. James

Greater St. James Baptist Church will be in revival through March 30 at 7:30 p.m. guest speaker is Rev. Stanford Anderson. Rev. Bennie Brinson is pastor.

Guest churches during the week are Trinity Baptist Church, Lester Grove Baptist Church, Mt. Moriah A.M.E., St. Phillip Baptist Church. Coleman Chapel A.M.E., McLeod Covenant Baptist Church, Piney Grove Baptist Church, S. Paul A.M.E. and Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Wednesday: Welcome by Barbara Kelly; Thursday: Welcome by George King; and Friday: Welcome by Darrell Thomas.
