SWAINSBORO—Memorial service for Caleb Miracle Cardé Davis, infant, was held Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006 in the chapel of Mosley’s Funeral Home. He died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006 after a brief illness.

On Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, Regent Jean Bridges, along with Glynda Sasser, Joyce Fennell, Mary Shepherd, Ann Lawson, Geneva Powell, Ginger Bolton, and Barbara Stokes took a day-trip to Augusta for a tour of Meadow Garden, the home of George Walton, one of the three signers of the Declaration of Independence from Georgia, and also Georgia’s youngest signer.

    Senior Dawda Njie scored 19 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead David Emanuel Academy to a 69-59 win over Bulloch Academy last Saturday night in Statesboro. The non-region victory improved the number one ranked Eagles to 19-1 on the season and was their fifth straight win.
