SWAINSBORO—Funeral for Jennifer L. Bivins, 32, was held Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 at 11 a.m. at greater St. James Baptist Church with Pastor Bennie Brinson officiating. Burial was in Swainsboro City Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006 at Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon after an extended illness.

DAR plans trip to Meadow Garden

Saturday, Dec. 16, members of the Governor David Emanuel Chaper DAR will leave Swainsboro at 9:45 a.m. for a trip to Meadow Garden, Augusta for lunch and a tour. Meadow Garden is the historic farm home of George Walton. Co-hostesses will be Nita Livingston and Angie Russell.

    KITE—Funeral for Walter Hugh Nasworthy, 74, was held Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, at 11 a.m. in Bethel United Methodist Church near Kite with Rev. Phil Wilson, Rev. R.L. Rathburn, and Rev. Ray Jenkins. Burial was in the church cemetery. He died Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at his residence after a brief illness.
