AUGUSTA—Funeral for Tommie Scott Bray was held Monday, Sept. 25, 2006 at Trinity-On-TheHill United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with Dr. Steve Dodson and Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating. Burial was in Westover Memorial Park. She died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006.
Mrs. Bray was a native of Swainsboro and the daughter of the late Aubrey E. Scott and Pearl Brown Scott. She grew up in Wadley and was a graduate of Wadley High School and Bolens Business School in Augusta. She retired from Georgia Regional Hospital in Augusta where she worked in the education department. She was previously employed by Georgia Retardation Center in Atlanta. She was a member of Trinity-On-The-Hill United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Adult Couples and Singles Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the University Hospital Volunteer Board.
She is survived by her husband, Donald C. Bray of Augusta; sons, Christopher D. Bray and wife, Kelli of Charleston. S.C.; Joel S. Bray and wife, Terri of Swainsboro; Marshall T. Bray and wife, Shannon of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; and Larry D. Bray of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, CJ Bray, Maggie Bray, Scott Bray, Jack Bray, Andrew Bray and Tori Bray; a brother, Aubrey E. Scott Jr. of Martinez; a mother-in-law, Inez M. Bray of Martinez; and brother and sister-inlaw, Roy and Kathe Bray of Troy, Ala.
Pallbearers were her sons, grandchildren and brother. Honorary pallbearers were members of the The Couples and Singles Sunday School Class.
