On Sept. 11, some of our people from Emanuel County attended at trip to Branson, Missouri. Those attending were Betty and John Turner, Charlene Oglesby, and Paul and Nancy Bowen. They met the Excursion Unlimited bus from Savannah in Metter and were on their way to Missouri. They spent the first night in Tunic, Mississippi at the Gold Strike Casino and Hotel. They enjoyed dinner there, it was a nice hotel. The next day, they arrived in Branson, Missouri, it was about 7 p.m. when they checked-in to the Radisson Hotel. They stayed there for three days. The first night there they enjoyed dinner and a show on the Showboat Branson Belle. They really enjoyed it. The other shows the group enjoyed were the Doug Garbriel Show, the Jim Stafford show, the Andy Williams show and the Shoji Tabucki show, which was out of this world. They spent the last night in Nashville, Tenn. at the Holiday Inn Select. They enjoyed dinner there and then went to the Grand Ole Opry. The next morning they left for home and arrived in Metter about 5 p.m. They all enjoyed a wonderful trip.
