Miss Mitchell, Mr. McKinnon announce engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Roy J. Pipkin of Cordele announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Kathryn Mitchell, to Joseph Mark McKinnon of Milledgeville. The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark T. McKinnon of Norman Park.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Walter J. Neville of St. Petersburg, Fla. and the late Mary C. Neville, the late Frances A. Mitchell and the late Billy D. Mitchell and Carolyn Mitchell. She is a 1993 honor graduate of Crisp County High School and a 1997 graduate of Wesleyan College with an A.B. in English and History. She graduated from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in 2000. Since 2001, she has been employed as an assistant district attorney for the Middle Judicial Circuit in Swainsboro.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bynum and Elizabeth Bynum of Moultrie and the late Grady and Estelle McKinnon. He is a 1996 honor graduate from Colquitt County High School and graduated from Florida State University in 2000 with a B.S. in Biology. He graduated from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in 2004 and since then has been employed as an assistant district attorney for the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit in Eatonton.

The wedding is planned for October 7, 2006 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Cordele at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow the ceremony ath the Pine Hills Country Club in Cordele.
