    ADRIAN—Funeral for Horace Lee Brannen, 78, was held Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Peebles-CurryDurden Mortuary with Rev. Clarence Thompson officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery in Kemp. He died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at the Johnson County Nursing Home in Scott after an extended illness.

    Members of Frankie Malone’s Pre-K class at Adrian School of Performing Arts visited Adrian’s Post Office as part of their study of “Community Helpers.” Mrs. Misty Turner led the tour of the post office. She showed the children how to sort the mail and they mailed a letter.
