Gospel singers to perform July 30

The Love, Peace & Happiness Gospel Music Tour featuring Troy Ramey & The Soul Searchers of Decatur; and Rev. Walter Ellis & The Country Boys of Montgomery, Ala. will appear in concert Saturday, July 30 at 6 p.m. at Swainsboro-Emanuel County Auditorium. Joining the acts will be The Uplifted Voices of Swainsboro, Totally For Him of Lumber City, J.K. Smith Male Choir and First African Baptist Church of Soperton and United Voices of Swainsboro.

The program will kick-off with a spiritual song by 4-year-old Milyashia Wynn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Wynn of Swainsboro.

She will sing “Because of Who You Are.” The entire program will be dedicated Singers of Emanuel County for their 59 years of singing. The group is led by Donald Jenkins. The Uplifted Voices will also pay tribute to the Union Gospel Singers and have been asked by the promoters of this show to appear in some live concerts on the tour.

Co-masters of ceremony Thomas of WJAT 800 AM in Swainsboro; Willis Harmon of Swainsboro; and Michael Harvey of WMOC 88.7 AM in Lumber City. Rev. D.G. Mosley will deliver the invocation.
