I would like to let you know how much I enjoy your news on the Internet. I moved from there in 1988 and since you went online I keep up with all that is going on in Swainsboro. Keep up the good job.

(E-mail) DEAR EDITOR:
Optimism, creative ideas and rolled-up sleeves show that cities like Swainsboro are truly the “Heart & Soul” of Georgia. They become great cities through the hard work and welcoming nature of the people who live, work and play there.
On behalf of the Georgia Cities Foundation Board of Directors and the Georgia Municipal Association, I want to say a heart-felt “thank you” for the warm welcome and hospitality shown us recently on our annual “Heart & Soul” Bus Tour. The work going on in Swainsboro is truly exemplary.
This four-day tour took us to 13 cities in the state. Each one proved to be a great destination to learn more about downtown development and revitalization. City leaders, residents and business owners opened their doors to us, sharing their enthusiasm, vision and excellent efforts to strengthen the city’s sense of community. We recognize that much work went into preparing for our visit, and we want you to know that it was greatly appreciated.
MIKE STARR President Georgia Cities Foundation
