Sealed proposals will be received by the Swainsboro/Emanuel County Joint Development Authorities at the Development Authority, 124 North Main Street, Swainsboro, Georgia 30401 until 11:00 A.M. local time MAY 10, 2005 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days.
All Bidders must have a State of Georgia Utility Contractors License and must employ a state “Utility Manager” certificate holder who will have oversight of al the work.
Work to be done: The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the construction of:
Division One Construction of approximately 450 L.F. 8″ sewer including 2 manholes, 650 L.F. 8″ water line including 2 large meters, 2 reduce pressure zone backflow preventers including vaults, 950 L.F. roadway improvements including curb & gutter, storm drains and paving. Time allowed for the completion of this work is 90 consecutive calendar days.
Division Two Rehabilitation of existing duplex pump station including submersible pumps, valve vault and piping, bypass pumping, electrical and site work. Time allowed for the completion of this work is 120 consecutive calendar days.
Proposals for the complete work in one or more general contracts shall be made on the proposal form provided and shall contain prices in words and figures for the work bid on.
All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the SWAINSBORO/EMANUEL COUNTY JOINT DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITIES in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for the SWAINSBORO/EMANUEL COUNTY JOINT DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITIES.
