The lovely home of Mrs. Cheri McLeod was the setting for a Pampered Chef shower March 15 honoring Christi Dawkins, bride-elect of Tyler Womack. Hosting the event were Mrs. Lacey Bishop, Mrs. Alicia Breedlove, Mrs. Jana Lee, Mrs. Teresa Mason, Mrs. McLeod and Mrs. Cindy Murry.

A wedding wreath decorated the front door of the home and the entrance was marked with a wedding bells flag and wedding bows. A variety of fresh cut floral arrangements decorated the inside of the home. The guest registry table held a hurricane globe with an arrangement of Easter eggs, forsythia, pear blossoms and lorapellum. The breakfast room table was centered with an arrangement of daffodils in a white ceramic tea pitcher and the kitchen area was decorated with a pewter pitcher filled with calanches. African violets were placed throughout the home.

A beautiful hand made lace tablecloth that Mrs. McLeod brought back from a recent trip to Italy covered the dining room table. Centering the table was an elegant antique footed crystal bowl filled with camellias. Refreshments prepared by Marisue and Cal Avery at the party included tuxedo brownies, chicken salad dip with crackers, lemon herb chicken ring, strawberries, grapes and chocolate chip delight.

The honoree was lovely in a coral sweater with a multi-colored scarf and black slacks. She was presented a corsage of white daisies, yellow salidago, mixed greenery and cooking utensils.

The bride-elect enjoyed reading the names of guests who signed a Pampered Chef apron. Sentimental and funny advice given by guests on how to have a successful marriage entertained the honoree and guests. Mr. and Mrs. Avery presented Miss Dawkins a special gift.

Special guests were Mrs. Brenda Boss, mother of the future bride; Mrs. Jan Dawkins, her stepmother; Mrs. Vikki Womack, mother of the groom-elect; and Lauren and Megan Shaw, maid of honor and bridesmaid.
