EGC offers AARP driver safety class

East Georgia College will offer the American Association of Retired Persons’ “55 and Alive Driver Safety Class” on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 19 and 20 from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Richard L. Brown Room. “This class is a refresher course designed to help mature drivers improve their skills and avoid traffic violations and accidents,” said AARP instructor Julien Mingledorff. “The course consists of eight hours of classroom instruction including defensive driving videos. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate from AARP and will be eligible to receive a discount on their automobile insurance premiums.”

Fee for the course is $10 and includes materials. Call Karen Curl in the Division of Lifelong Education at 478-289-2108 to register.
