RIDGELAND, S.C.—Funeral for Lillian Kirby Klein, 65, was held Monday Jan. 31, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Swainsboro Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Tommy Rountree and Elder Howard Cox officiating. Burial was in New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Earl Warnock officiating. She died at her daughter’s residence in Ridgeland, S.C. on Friday, Jan. 28 , 2005 after an extended illness.
Mrs. Klein was a native of Greenville S.C. and daughter of the late Otis Lee and Irine Cain Kirby. She was employed by Lynn and Bob’s Bar-B-Q in Swainsboro, a homemaker and a member of the Swainsboro Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Valerie Klein of Hilton Head Island S.C.; Cynthia K. Travis of Swainsboro; Lisa Woods of Ridgeland S.C.; and Renee Mills of Ridgeland S.C.; four sisters, Margaret Smith of Swainsboro; Christine Daniels of Nunez; and Bobbie Jean Riner and Jeanette Webb both of Swainsboro; two brothers, Joe Kirby of Swainsboro; and Jerry Kirby of Pooler; and 12 grandchildren
Pallbearers were Stevie Riner, Bruce Kirby, Tyson Webb, Mark Kirby, James Wilson and Jeff Kirby.
Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary had charge of arrangements.
