KITE—Funeral for Emmer Lee Kight Cooper, 63, was held Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary with Rev. Lamar Kersey officiating. Burial was in Kite City Cemetery. She died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005 at her residence after an extended illness.
Mrs. Cooper was a native of Johnson County, a homemaker and retired from Crown-Tex Industries. She was a member of Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Cooper of Kite; one daughter, Susan Hood of Kite; four sisters, Doris Adams of Glenwood; Joann Mason of Kite; and Ernestine Harper of Forsyth and Juanita Bush of Swainsboro; one brother, J. T. “Red” Kight of Swainsboro; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Brandon Hood, Jeremy Williams, Robert Mason, Jeffrey Brown, C. J. McCoy and Cecil Johnson.
Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary had charge of arrangements.
