DEA loses to Frederica

The DEA B-team basketball teams traveled to St Simons Island last Thursday to face Frederica Academy. Unfortunately, however, neither team brought a victory home as the Knights emerged victorious in both contests.

Frederica won the boys game by a score of 40-27 as Ritchie Wasliewski scored ten points. Greg Glover led all scorers with 12 points for DEA. Joseph Spark with seven, Casey Clark with five, Justin Smith with two and Joseph Nasworthy with one also scored in the losing effort.

In the girls game it was Frederica winning by a score of 24-14. Marlee Lanier led DEA with six points followed by Bonnie McNeely with five and Casey Calxton with three points.

The DEA B-teams will host Frederica in a rematch on Monday, Jan. 31 with the girls game starting at 4 p.m. followed by the boys contest. They close out the regular season on Friday, Feb. 4 when Twiggs Academy visits Stillmore for a 6:30 p.m. match up starting with the girls game.
