Bernice E. Hall Bailey, 89

SUMMERTOWN—Funeral for Bernice Eugenia Hall Bailey, 89, was held Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Summertown Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Tillman, Rev. Ed Thompson and Rev. Leonard Quick officiating. Burial was in Brinson Cemetery. She died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004 in Dublin.

Mrs. Bailey was born in Emanuel County and lived most of her life in Summertown. She was retired from Emanuel County Hospital, a member of Summertown Baptist Church and Summertown Homemakers Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Clifton Bailey; her sister, Cora Lee Overstreet Bell; her brother, Wiley F. Hall; and her parents, Elbert Othniel Hall and Ida Mae Edwards Hall.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Melba and Michael Thigpen of Dublin; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Carolyn Bailey of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Sean and Lisa Taylor of Alpharetta; Scott and Kimbali Taylor of Cartersville; Dr. Cliff and Kristin Bailey of Holloman Air Force Base, N.M.; Jason and Amianne Bailey of Mesquite, Texas; Chad and Christi Bailey of Dallas, Texas; great-grandchildren, Charis Evan and Jack Taylor of Alpharetta; Sieria Taylor of Cartersville; Landry Bailey of Mesquite, Texas; and Sabrina Bailey of Holloman Air Force Base, N.M.; two sisters, Sadie Ruth Coleman of Brandon, Fla.; Melba McDonald of San Jose, Calif.; two brothers, James O. Hall of Cataula; and Edward D. Hall of Swainsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were nephews J. David Bailey, Donald Henry, John David Bailey, Bailey Henry, Coleman Odom, Dr. John Bailey, Jimmy Overstreet, Billy Overstreet, James Hall, Bruce Hall, Bill Lawless, Gary Hall, Randy Coleman and Donald Coleman.
